Our Charter Captain Extreme planer,
rocket launcher and rod holder system (shown left) is designed for the
serious Great Lakes angler. It incorporates planer masts with a uniquely
designed rocket launcher stack and rod storage system that will fit a large
variety of boat models, sizes and styles including both canvas and hardtops.
The PATENTED bracketing
system and modular design provides a custom fit on most boats simply by
cutting the horizontal support bar to the correct size based on mounting
point location and individual boat width.
Our lightweight aluminum systems are noted for there easy installation
and assembly and the whole system can be removed in a matter of seconds. All
of our rod rack systems can be mounted on a flat surface such as the
gunwales or deck or on vertical surfaces with our special vertical mounting
bases. The modularity and adjustability is un-matched in the industry.
No more driving miles with your boat to a custom fabricator or ordering
those expensive arches. Where else can you find an "out of the box" ready to
mount system? All components can easily be removed or added at any
time. Also
customers may choose to design their own system from scratch. With
a complete planer system, rocket launchers, net holders, bird tree rod
holders, lights and outriggers with adjustable brackets you get 6 systems in
one with the capability of holding other accessories such as radar domes and
dipsey rod holders.
The charter captain extreme is shown with a 7' horizontal support bar and
all of our other rocket launcher systems displayed are shown with 6'
horizontal support bars however we can ship support bars up to 107" at the
shipping rates listed. For longer support bars special freight charges
apply. On boats with larger beam widths the support bar can handle up
to 14 rocket launcher tubes. Each rocket launcher tube can be rotated 360
degrees individually or the whole rocket launcher stack can be rotated as a
unit. The bar as a unit is also adjustable vertically to clear cabin tops or
biminis. Each 6' vertical mast comes with our rugged, all aluminum
planer reels and pulleys.
These planer masts also include one net holder on each
side. Our net holders are the strongest on the market specifically
designed to hold nets and strong enough to withstand the extreme wind
pressures at cruise speeds with nets stowed in the net holders. We’ve
included our specially designed vertical stack rod holders for the
trolling angler that runs multiple lines off each planer rigger. The
vertical stack rod holders not only rotate 360 degrees they are
adjustable vertically providing both vertical and horizontal separation
of your active rods and lines.
The more control the angler has in
positioning and separating the trolled rods the better. Horizontally
positioned double and triple rod holders do not provide as much rod tip
separation. The outrigger brackets on the charter captain extreme
rod rack are adjustable for 2 positions and can be rotated out of the
way when using the planer system. The 12 volt, 55 watt light set
can be adjusted forward toward the bow for docking or rotated back
toward the fishing deck for night trolling. For anglers that don't
need as much rod storage the charter captain deluxe is the perfect
choice and our top seller. Of course our second best seller is the
rocket launcher plus rod rack for anglers that don't use the big boards.
NOTE to salt water anglers. The brushed or polished
aluminum finish is not designed to withstand the corrosive effects
of the salt water environment.

system that allows for almost 12" in height adjustment when reach is
a factor.
